S&J to lift Mount SnowJuly 2, 2007 —
Mount Snow has hired Smith & Jones to develop an umbrella brand concept for the resort, which was recently purchased by Peak Resorts from American Ski Company. The resort is set to undergo a $5 million upgrade to its facilities and snowmaking capabilities and will begin working immediately with the branding consultancy on creative concepts and strategies to reinvigorate the Mount Snow brand. “Mount Snow has been a favorite destination for over 50 years,” said Meri Spicer, director of marketing for Mount Snow. “With new owners who are investing a significant amount of money to upgrade the resort we think this is the ideal time to refresh our Mount Snow branding efforts. We needed an agency that could create the appropriate brand messaging and Smith & Jones’ extensive experience in moving brands upmarket made them the perfect choice for this initiative.” “My family and I have great memories of skiing at Mount Snow,” said Mark Shipley, chief thinker for Smith & Jones. “I am really psyched that Peak Resorts has made such a major commitment to upgrade the resort’s facilities and snowmaking. We’re looking forward to doing the same for their brand image.” Information about Mount Snow lodging packages, season passes and more is available at www.mountsnow.com, or by calling 800-245-SNOW. Peak Resorts operates 11 ski areas and 2 golf courses in 6 states. Peak Resorts Inc. is committed to building an enhanced resort experience at each of their properties. |
