"Simplicity" earns Platinum

Silhouette Optical's ‘Simplicity Through Perfect Design’ trade advertising campaign took top honors this month in The MarCom Awards. Created by brand consultancy Smith & Jones of Troy, New York, the Platinum Award-winning campaign consists of a series of quietly dynamic eight page booklets, the impact of which lies in the subtle interplay of iconic words and symbolic images.

Jamie Cocca-Pelton, US marketing manager for Silhouette, commented, “We are delighted with the ‘Simplicity Through Perfect Design’ creative campaign because it so well captures the essence of Silhouette eyewear: timeless beauty and perfect design.”

According to Sara Tack, Principal Artist at Smith and Jones, "As a designer, it is especially gratifying to work with a client such as Silhouette that holds design in such high regard, as is evidenced by the numerous design awards Silhouette has won for the company's beautiful products. It is particularly fitting that this campaign has won a number of awards."

Last month, Silhouette Optical's ‘Simplicity Through Perfect Design’ trade advertising campaign took top honors in American Business Media’s 12th Annual Creative Excellence in Business Advertising (CEBA) awards.

The MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.  The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals.  Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Platinum and Gold Winners are listed on the MarCom Awards website.
