Silhouette wins GSUSA Award

September 27, 2007 —

Silhouette Stories: An Intimate Look at Life, in Silhouette, a book created by Smith & Jones and published by Silhouette Optical Ltd., has won the 2007 American Graphic Design Award sponsored by Graphic Design USA and Adobe Systems Incorporated. The award is the second for the publication which won the international design competition, the Gold Marcom Creative Award, from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals last year.

Silhouette Stories – An Intimate Look at Life is a coffee-style book and part of the multi-media Silhouette Stories campaign showcasing the company’s Titan Minimal Art (TMA) eyewear collection. The book is a compilation of testimonials from consumers who believe that the TMA line of eyewear changed their outlook on wearing glasses and includes intimate portraits of the letter writers accompanied by their stories.

States Mark Shipley, co-founder and Chief Thinker at Smith & Jones, “The book was a true labor of love. The letters expressed such joy for Silhouette’s products. I knew after reading them that it was simply essential to create something both tangible and lasting that would speak to consumers about Silhouette’s extraordinary eyewear for years to come.”
