January 7, 2008 — This season’s Windham Mountain radio campaign spoofs the always heart-wrenching PSA (Public Service Announcement). To encourage Windham’s target audience to “come out and play,” Smith & Jones tailored three spots to identify the seemingly insufferable daily plights of a working mom, office-bound man and an over-programmed kid. “It was a challenge getting the voice talent to sound truly pathetic,” says Mark Shipley, Chief Thinker at Smith & Jones. “The direction that finally moved the Working Mom to the appropriate, exasperated tone of voice was for her to imagine she had just stepped in sh%t."
