Smith & Jones has been selected as agency of record for Legacy Banks, headquartered in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The Troy-based agency will be handling all brand development and advertising, helping the bank meet its aggressive growth goals.

“With a long history of serving the financial needs of our neighbors in Berkshire County, Legacy Banks has built a reputation with our customers for providing informed, forward-thinking solutions,” says Legacy Banks Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Bill Dunlaevy. “Now, as we expand our presence to surrounding communities, including Eastern New York, Smith & Jones will help us introduce our brand and our strength to a wider audience.”

“Our research has uncovered a brand truth about Legacy Banks that separates the bank from its competition,” states Mark Shipley, Chief Thinker at Smith & Jones. “We’re looking forward to the next step–helping to make Legacy Banks the first choice destination for smart banking consumers in Berkshire County and the Greater Capital Region.”

Founded in 1835, Legacy Banks was among the first financial institutions in Berkshire County and maintains the same tradition of community banking today. It employs 180 people and has sixteen offices throughout Berkshire County, Massachusetts and Eastern New York, as well as a Loan Production Office in Colonie, New York. A full-service financial institution, Legacy offers Personal Banking, Mortgage Lending, Commercial Services, Insurance, Investments, Portfolio Management, Credit and Debit Card products, and Online Services.
