Here Come The JudgeDillon Plays CTAM
May 31, 2007 — Smith & Jones’ Opening Act, Bob Dillon, was asked to serve again as a final round judge for the Cable & Telecommunication Association for Marketing (CTAM) 2007 Mark Awards. The awards recognize outstanding achievement and excellence in marketing from networks, cable companies and suppliers and will be presented during the CTAM Summit, scheduled for July 23 in Washington, DC. “The Mark Awards is cable’s premiere competition and close to 1,000 entries are judged annually,” said Bob Dillon, opening act for Smith & Jones and CTAM final round judge. “The competition is in its 24th year and roughly 150 Gold and Silver winners will be selected. It’s quite an honor for me to have the opportunity to sit with my peers and view the many talented submissions that we have received.” Other final round judges that reviewed entries in addition to Dillon included Randi Davis/MTV Networks, Mike Mohamad/The History Channel, Mike Boyd/HGTV, Erin Breen/NBC Universal Cable, Todd Schoen/Fox Cable Networks and a roster of industry movers and shakers. Entries were judged on Sound or Innovative Strategy and Tactics, Strength of Creative Execution and Measured Achievement of Results. All entries must have been implemented between February 1, 2006 and January 31, 2007. Sponsors for the 2007 Mark Awards include HBO, The History Channel, BigTen Network, Scripps Howard, Showtime and MultiChannel News. |
