S&J recalls Frankenstein’s monster for campaign

July 15, 2009 —

Smith & Jones announced the launch of an integrated marketing campaign this month for decision-making solutions targeted to the Retail, Restaurant and Real Estate market. Pitney Bowes Business Insight hired the Troy-based agency to promote their software, market data and predictive analytics services for this important segment of their vertical markets.

The campaign, which features visuals of Frankenstein’s monster and Voodoo dolls, emphasizes Pitney Bowes Business Insight’s integrated custom solutions and transparent methodologies for market analyses, including industry-leading offerings for retail modeling, site selection and predictive analytics. Campaign elements include banner advertising, e-mail marketing and web landing pages. The campaign will run through December 2009 in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim.

“With over 40 years of experience in retail modeling, and pioneering location intelligence solutions from MapInfo, Pitney Bowes Business Insight helps retail decision makers understand their markets – to plan growth, select new locations and optimize their store networks,” said Patrick Reilly, Illuminator for Smith & Jones.

“Smith & Jones’ Marketing Opportunity Assessment discovered the brand’s differentiating position in this vertical: custom solutions and defensible, scientific results for better business decisions,” said Reilly. “The Pitney Bowes Business Insight process is based on pioneering methodologies of Thompson Associates, leaders in retail market research, not some mysterious ‘black box’ process that offers results without a clear explanation. PBBI’s depth of experience and the range of product offerings can create truly custom solutions to their clients’ market analysis needs – not just off-the-rack tools, but unique combinations of market knowledge and mapping capabilities that provide deeper insights to consumer behavior and opportunities within a geographic region,” Reilly added.
