“Power of 10” gets 10

MapInfo Professional users rate new version and campaign

Following the release of MapInfo Professional version 10.0 and the launch of a global campaign by Smith & Jones, Pitney Bowes Business Insight announced this week that customers around the world are giving the new software a perfect 10. The global campaign aimed at current users suggested that “You be the judge,” and offered a free evaluation version to demonstrate the software’s powerful new features and user-friendly interface.

At a presentation to a group of current users in New Zealand last month, the response was overwhelmingly positive. The photo below, snapped after the product managers’ presentation, shows customers’ scores for MapInfo Professional v.10.0.

Pitney Bowes Business insight hired Troy-based Smith & Jones to create an integrated marketing campaign for the new release of its most popular mapping and geographic analysis software product. The campaign targeted both current MapInfo Professional users and non-users of GIS and mapping products with elements including banner advertising, e-mail marketing, print ads and web landing pages. The campaign will run through December 2009 in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
